First material they recorded under the new moniker and it's a ripper.
Physical copies of this are available on Deathwish.
I have also included the lyrics sheet for this, how handy.
Looking forward to hearing more material from this band of undefined non-permanent members. I've heard that they have just recorded with Sam Pura.

5. Inside Job

7. Sick To Death
8. All I Do
9. Enough
10. Wasting Time
11. Sweet Revenge
12. Requiem

Last Nerve were a great band from Sydney, Australia who after disbanding had members go on to form No Apologies, Bad Blood and most recently Vigilante.
As far as their sound goes, think Lockin Out stuff and bands inspired by New York.
The first 6 tracks on this were recorded August 2003, whilst the last 6 were done in February and put out as a demo tape. As far as I'm aware this album along with their split with Internal Affairs is all they did.

7. The Calm And The Storm
8. No More Pain
9. Lion's Den
10. Still No Light (The Iron Mind Pt II)

This is the debut LP from Iron mind who are from Melbourne, Australia.
As I previously stated on the Promo Tracks post, this is very much in the same vein as their work from The Sun Has Set EP.
Ten Hard hitting New York Hardcore influenced jams with tight lyrical and instrumental work.
There are so many good moments on the album that it'd be hard for me to pick just a few parts out as it just kills it overall.
You can pick up physical copies of this LP from here, still have some limited colours left.
The artwork for this album was done by Iron Mind's singer Sam Octigan.

5. Last Nerve - Sick To Death
6. Last Nerve - Too Slow

Just got my hands on a copy of this recently, I wasn't happy with the versions I had found so I have done my own (read as: better) rip of it.
This gem came out back in 2004 and has 3 absolute rippers from each band.
Internal Affairs were from Los Angeles and had members from the likes of Terror, Carry On and Piece By Piece.
Last Nerve were a great band from Sydney, Australia who after disbanding had members go on to form No Apologies, Bad Blood and most recently Vigilante.
This 7" is a banger, Internal Affairs kick some serious ass and Last Nerve are in my opinion one of the best hardcore punk bands of Australia.

Night Birds are a Brooklyn band that I first heard on the New York Rules comp tape.
They play a style of fast catchy punk with surf influenced bits, it sounds great.
This EP is their tribute to old horror movies and the drive-ins that used to/still play them.

Sabertooth Zombie - Human Performance II

So in great anticipation of the third Human Performance (on Twelve Gauge Records) I have been jamming number I and II, and then realized that I hadn't even posted this on here yet.
This record takes off where the first 7" left you, and it will make you bang your head and grin like a creep.
On this S.T.Z. deliver another two tracks of psychedelic rock thrash jams with punk and hardcore all in the same mixing bowl. As with the first, the second H.P. also has longer track durations - clocking in just under 15minutes.
I was lucky enough to catch them jamming and recording their new material at Panda studios via stream, and I can vouch that the new stuff is out of this world good.
For the mean time I suggest that you play this on repeat and with a high volume.

7. Bring In The New Ear
8. Private Pleasures
9. Devil's Hand Flower

Here I present the new album by California's Purple Mercy - Private Pleasures.
This follows up their debut self titled LP which is a dramatically different listening experience.
The first album was more filled with distortion guitars and pissed dirty vocals, and I liked that a lot.
But I like this just as much, I'd say their sound on this album is 70's psychedelic drone rock.
I'm pretty sure that Twelve Gauge Records (tgrex) will be putting this to vinyl, so look out for it if you are interested in a physical copy of this.
Which you should be.

Hello ladies and germs, here is the new LP from Vancouver's B-lines.
Nine tracks of manic/catchy punk that lasts a mere 11 minutes.
The two stand out tracks on this for me are "Psychedelic High School" and "Houseplants" but only by fractions.
This is the sort of album that you can play 3-5 times in a row, because it goes by so god-damn quickly.
That said, this is a thoroughly enjoyable listen that's for sure.

Amigo The Devil - Manimals EP

1. Dahmer Does Hollywood
2. Perfect Wife
3. Alcohol
4. Infamous Butcher
5. Husband

Amigo The Devil was first brought to my attention thanks to SDG, he also posted the demo tracks on here a while back.
Danny Kiranos is the solo artist behind it all who delivers some really great lyrics combined with banjo and or guitar along with the occasional usage of organ/piano on a few tracks which makes for some really dark feelin' storytellin'.
"Dahmer Does Hollywood" and "Perfect Wife" featured on the demo, and "Infamous Butcher" is a re-working of the song "Imachination" - it is vastly different from the original, so both tracks should be taken as stand alone pieces.
The two new tracks on this are great too, and has me looking forward to any further material from Amigo The Devil.

3. Feelgood Song Of The Decade

Frodus is a post-punk DC band that that existed from '93-99, and that resurfaced in one form or another in 2009. This was recorded 2009, released late last year by lovitt records. Has bassist from dillinger escape plan playing on it. You can hear the first 2 tracks here and purchase it on vinyl or download it from $2 (download comes with the extra track). Solid material on this 7", if you like this you should check out their LP "And we washed our weapons in the sea" which is considered by band members to be their best work, good album to drive to.

edit: So I am pretty sure lovitt records got the link removed, the early bird gets the worm. So you will just have to fork out the $2 minimum for the 3 tracks. HARD TIMES COMIN' YOUR WAY.

RVIVR - Derailer 7"

1. Derailer
2. Real Mean

First post in a while, and first post for this year.
I downloaded this sometime mid last year right, I swear I gave it a listen and dismissed it as nothing special. Well I must have mixed them up with some other band because listening to this properly for the first time blew me away.
Anyway, this came out back in 2009 and is the second release by RVIVR.
Side A is catchy as fuck, it has group wah-oh wah oh's and the song is capped off with a brass section which I enjoyed. Side B is an acoustic number with the girl member singing about a past relationship. That might sound like shit if you are some muscle head wall-puncher, but trust me it is quite good.
